Joanie Triestman Named Aliso Viejo's Most Magnificent Mom

Congratulations to Joanie Triestman who was voted Aliso Viejo's Most Magnificent Mom!

Triestman's son Alex nominated his mom with this entry:

"My mom has cancer and has been in chemo since April 2010. I wrote an essay on her for my school; she is my hero. This is what I said in my essay: 'I would like to remind myself daily to never give up on yourself. Fighting hard for important things is something I believe in like my mom. When bad things happen, I always think of what my mom says. She says, "Never let bad things define you!" My mom says you can do anything you set your mind to.'"

As the winner, Joanie will receive a $50 gift card to the R Spa at Renaissance Club Sport. Patch will assemble more than two dozen local winners to be part of a second round of voting, with that winner to receive a $1,000 Visa gift card.
