400 Backpacks Donated to Boys & Girls Club

Fifty children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley accept donated backpacks and supplies from Fluor Corp.

Fluor Corp. donated 400 backpacks, filled with supplies, to the members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley.

Fifty children from the club visited the Flour offices in Aliso Viejo on Thursday to accept the backpacks and participate in "engineering-based activities" and lunch with the company's employees, according to a Boys & Girls Club press release.

“I would like to say thank you to the Fluor Corp. for donating backpacks and school supplies,” said James Littlejohn, the club’s executive director.  “Their donation helps us to implement our 'Formula for Impact,' which prepares our members for academic success. Our goal is to have our members graduate from high school ready for college, trade school, military or employment.”
