Journey Students Sing, Dance and Toe Whistle for Talent Show

"Dinner and a Show" entertains Journey School students, parents and community.

Journey School students lived up to the name talent show during the school’s “Dinner and a Show” on June 2.

While some displayed their talents through the expected mediums of song and dance, others took a more creative route. Student Gavin Sheafer for example whistled with his toes.

“Most of the acts were impressive,” said Nirzhar Pradhan, Journey School parent. “The dancers were remarkable, the singers were in tune and the musicians played flawlessly. An obvious demonstration of hours of rigorous practice—I bow to the patience of the parents.”

Pradhan said he has attended talent shows at different schools, but has never seen a group of student performers with so much talent.

“Journey School's "Dinner and a Show" Talent Show program, to my utmost delight, was a far cry from anything I had seen in these types of gatherings before,” he said. “The night was a successful evidence of music and arts program being embedded remarkably well into the curriculum of the school.”

Linda McGee has produced the performance for the last four years. This year’s event was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
