Main Offices Open Today for Aliso Viejo Schools

Kindergarten registration continues in Aliso Viejo. Registration day for high school students begins Aug. 21 and middle school orientation is Aug. 28-30.

With a little more than three weeks remaining before the start of the 2012-13 school year, now is the time to register your kindergartner if you haven’t already.

Elementary school offices in Aliso Viejo are now open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Here are the four schools and the office phone numbers:

  • Don Juan Avila Elementary School:   949-349-9452
  • Canyon Vista Elementary School:     949-234-5941
  • Oak Grove Elementary School:         949-360-9001
  • Wood Canyon Elementary School:    949-448-0012

The Aliso Viejo Middle School office will be open starting today through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon, and from Aug. 20 through Aug. 31 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Regular office hours beginning Sept. 4 are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The middle school’s orientation schedule is as follows:

  • Aug. 28 – 6th grade, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. MPR
  • Aug. 29 – 7th grade, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. MPR
  • Aug. 30 – 8th grade, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. MPR

At Aliso Niguel High School, students new to the Capistrano Unified School District can pre-enroll through the school website at www.alisoniguel.com. Look for the box on the right side of the front page that says, “New Online Student Registration” and use the option to pre-enroll for the 2012-13 school year.

If your student has been previously enrolled in any school in the CUSD (pre-school, elementary, middle school or high school), contact the Registrar, Leanne Beck, at 949-831-5590 ext 622, beginning Aug. 13 to pick up an enrollment packet in the Guidance Office. You can take it home and complete it, and insert copies of all necessary documentation.

Walk-through registration is from 8 to 11 a.m. in the school's food court on the following dates:

  • Seniors: Tuesday, Aug. 21
  • Juniors: Wednesday, Aug. 22
  • Sophomores: Thursday, Aug. 23
  • Freshmen: Friday, Aug. 24

Make-up day for all grades is Monday, Aug. 27, 8 to 11 a.m. in the food court.
