Holiday parties are here. Time to pull out the rollers and the hot irons.
Bust out the blow dry first. Always use a styling aids when blow drying, and remember: the better the blow dry, the better your hair will look.
Then, spray a thermal protectant on each section of hair if you are using a hot iron. If you're using velcro rollers, use hairspray at the root. Use your blow dryer and blast each section. The longer you leave rollers in, the better the set.
When removing the rollers twist your hair around your fingers and spray again with hair spray. Grab a vent brush or pick to backcomb the crown area. Then start pulling hair up and pin with bobby pins. Do not OCD on this part. The messier, the better—not perfect, just sexy.
If you're using a hot iron to set hair, use the same styling aids then spray hair spray on each section. The cleaner the sections the better your set will stay. Also, smaller sections means tighter curls. Let each section cool before combing it out.
For a smoother look, brush out curls. If you want curly, just use your hands. When your hair is all finished just use a little more hair spray at the root only. The hair must move—no 'helmet head' look.
