Community Food Drive Ends Friday

Neighborhood collection bins, for canned, packaged, boxed or other wrapped food goods, are available in Aliso Viejo and Laguna Niguel.

South County Outreach and local members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Aliso Viejo and Laguna Niguel have begun a one-week neighborhood effort to collect various food items to help South County residents in need.

The Community Food Drive includes several neighborhood collection bins at individual home locations throughout both communities.  Items being collected include canned, packaged, boxed or other wrapped food goods that are appropriate for reasonable storage and distribution.

Members of the Wood Canyon Ward of the Laguna Niguel Stake of the Church are distributing flyers across neighborhoods that contain a list of appropriate donated items and the closest address for donation drop-off.  More than 50 families are helping to promote donations in their local neighborhoods across seven local drop-off locations.
