Trail Cleanup Volunteers Sought

On Saturday morning, Aliso Viejo hopes to beautify local trails and creeks.

The following is from a city press release:

Families, students, associations, clubs, religious groups, businesses and others are invited to help remove trash and debris from local trails and creeks during Saturday morning's Aliso Viejo Trails and Creek Cleanup event.

The beautification project runs from 9 a.m. to noon, with registration taking place at the Aliso Viejo Ranch at 100 Park Ave. The city of Aliso Viejo is hosting the event, with support from the Moulton Niguel Water District and CR&R.

Cleaning the creeks and watersheds that drain to the ocean keeps trash and debris from ending up on local beaches.

Participants are encouraged to wear sunscreen, hiking shoes, hats and gardening or work gloves. Free refreshments and water will be available.

For more information and to pre-register for the event, contact Mike Smith at 949-425-2535 or msmith@cityofalisoviejo.com.
