Aliso Viejo Middle School

Aliso Viejo Middle School has been named both a California Distinguished School and a National Blue Ribbon School. AVMS has been host to a "Marathon Team" since the year 2002. It is overseen by the organization "Students Run LA" (SRLA). Former AVMS math teacher Paul Ewell was the head coach of the team for several years, coordinating weekend runs with schools such as Don Juan Avila Middle School and Newhart Middle School.
