Get Out: Ice Cream!

This weekend features a fun ice cream fundraiser, local hikes and the end of the Orange County Fair. So get out and enjoy!

Where/When: Orange County Fairgrounds, 88 Fair Dr., Costa Mesa; Thursday and Friday noon to midnight, Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to midnight. (Closes Sunday)
Why go: Rides, artwork displays, gardening demonstrations and, of course, deep-fried everything. 
Pricing: $11 adults and teens over 13, $8 for seniors 60 and over, $6 ages 6 to 12, free under 6; parking $7, preferred parking $12

Where/When: , 27782 Aliso Creek Rd., Aliso Viejo; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday
Why go: Dairy Queen will donate the proceeds from every Blizzard sold to local children’s hospitals.

Why go: Enjoy smooth jazz by these two saxophonists.

Why go: Watch the full moon rise and enjoy some breathtaking natural views.
