Summer Movies in the Park Begins Friday

"How to Train Your Dragon" will be presented at dusk in Grand Park.

Grand Park was warmed up for its annual summer movie and concert series after approximately 7,000 people camped out in the Aliso Viejo park for the Fourth of July celebration.

The series, sponsored by the Aliso Viejo Community Association, begins Friday with the movie "How to Train Your Dragon," and continues on Sunday with a musical performance by the reggae group, Common Sense.

According to AVCA Recreational Director Wendy Casar, in previous years 500-700 people on average have attended the movie nights and 1,000-3,000 guests have attended the concerts.
