What Do You Think of the New Electronic Marquee?

A temporary mock up of the new sign is in place.

After nearly 10 years of interest, a mock-up of the future electronic marquee is in place at the corner of Aliso Creek Road and Pacific Park Drive.

Once the proper applications and permits are submitted and approved, construction of the permanent sign will begin. There is no date for completion yet.

The marquee, which will electronically display Aliso Viejo Community Association information, like date and time of board meetings and community events, will cost $38,605—unless change orders are submitted once the installation begins.

AVCA General Manager Marilyn Smith said while it is possible to display more detail than the previous sign, they were advised not to include too much information on any one item since drivers will miss it as they travel through the intersection.

The AVCA board has approved the design and construction drawings. The City of Aliso Viejo has done the preliminary review.
