Aliso-Based Johnny Rockets Names New CFO

Former El Pollo Loco and Claim Jumper chief to lead Johnny Rockets.

Following a recent buy-out, the Aliso Viejo-based hamburger chain Johnny Rockets announced a new chief financial officer Monday.

Gary Camparano will take over as CFO and expects to lead the company into a period of growth. He's worked most recently as CFO for El Pollo Loco and has held the same title for Claim Jumper.

"This is a great opportunity to join a company on the tipping point," he said.  "I've no doubt that Johnny Rockets is primed to increase their expansion, both domestically and overseas."

The California hamburger chain employs about 50 at their Aliso Viejo world headquarters south of the 73 toll road at 20 Enterprise #300, according to their website. Worldwide they employ over 7,500.

Earlier this month Friendly's Ice Cream LLC bought out The Johnny Rockets Group. Friendly's is a Sun Capital Partners affiliate. Sun Capital is a private equity firm with shares in 320 companies with combined revenues of $45 billion, according to the International Venture Capital Post.

"I am really pleased that Gary has joined our Company as we prepare for a time of unprecedented growth," CEO John Fuller said in a statement. "His experience working in the restaurant sector and with multiple private equity groups will be very valuable to our owners, our franchisees and our entire corporation."

Johnny Rockets has 300 corporate and franchise-owned restaurants in 30 states and 16 countries
