Aquatic Center Opens for the Season

More than 100 guests gathered to enjoy the pools on opening day.

More than 100 guests took part in opening day festivities at Aliso Viejo's Aquatic Center Saturday.

With three different pools and activities for children, the center had a soft opening to test the waters with the public.

"We had a great turnout today with 150 guests so far," said General Manager Kelli Addington. "We'll be open on weekends until Memorial Day and that's when the center will be offically open. This year will be our biggest season yet because of all the new activities. We're looking forward to a great season and having all the guests visiting."

Blueray management, the company in charge of activities at the center, has some big plans as well.

"We're really excited to work with the city of Aliso Viejo," said Dan Berzansky, of Blueray Management. "We think this year is going to be huge and our focal point is the swim team. We're really excited.
