Give Blood, Get Free Bagels

Bagels and Brew in Aliso Viejo is hosting a blood drive for American Red Cross on Wednesday from 1 to 7 p.m., and anyone who donates will get a dozen free bagels.

If you’d like to donate, look for the Red Cross bus parked outside the Bagles and Brew at the Aliso Viejo Town Center, 26601 Aliso Creek Rd. Though it’s not required, you can pre-register online, just be sure to use the promotional code “BEAHERO.”

“We have been hosting blood drives since 2008 and the turnout gets better with each drive,” said Michelle McKay, co-proprietor of Bagels & Brew, in a written statement. Those past blood drives have been at the chain’s other locations in Lake Forest and Mission Viejo, making Wednesday’s event the first in Aliso Viejo.
