Wyland Partners with Whale Tails Chips

The Aliso Viejo based company provides artwork for the organic tortilla chip company.

Wyland Foundation artwork can now be found on the bags of organic Whale Tales Tortilla Chips.

Wyland, which is based in Aliso Viejo and best known for its murals and paintings of whales, uses art to raise awareness and teach students around the country about the ocean. California based Whale Tails Tortilla Chips holds similar values as it promotes a healthy environment and healthy snacking.

“The Wyland Foundation matches our company’s ideals,” said Terry Kraszewski, CEO and Co-Founder of Whale Tails Tortilla Chips in a release. “We are excited that a portion of the sales of our new bags will go to such a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to protecting our oceans and marine life through creative ‘hands on’ approaches to education and stewardship.”

Three original oil paintings were licensed by Wyland for the chips flavors— Hawaiian Barbeque with a hint of sun-dried mango, displays "Dawn of Creation," Blue Corn with Chia Seeds’ bag showcases "Orca Journey," and original flavor, Yellow Corn with Alaea Hawaiian Sea Salt features "Hawaii Endangered Species."

“Proceeds from our sales will go toward helping thousands of school children learn about ocean conservation, which is the real inspiration energizing this partnership. It’s a perfect fit, for a perfect shape that makes perfect sense for everyone,” Kraszewski said in a release.
