269 Customers Without Power in Aliso Viejo, Laguna Woods
Southern California Edison crews work to restore electricity to the affected homes and businesses.
A power outage that began Sunday at 4:23 p.m. initially left 2,514 Southern California Edison customers in Aliso Viejo and Laguna Woods without electricity. Officials said power was restored to the majority of homes and businesses a few minutes later.
SCE spokesman Paul Klein said the outage was caused by failed equipment along Paseo del Lago and that crews were working to restore power to the 269 customers still without electricity.
Power was expected to be restored by 3:30 p.m. Monday.

The outage affected homes and businesses north of El Toro Road, south of Ridge Route Drive, east of Paseo del Lago and west of Moulton Parkway.
