A MIllion More Flu Shot Initiative
Health care costs in America are escalating at a record pace and are expected to reach $4.1Trillion by 2012. We don't have to keep waiting for legislative changes to reduce costs. Over 70% of health care costs are controllable with personal actions, support of our familiy, neighbors and communities.
PrescribeWellness, in collaboration with hundreds of community, state, and national sponsors is launching a national campaign, "A Million More" flu shot initiative, to take collective steps toward lowering health care costs and creating a healthier America.
This fall "A Million More" will support 1000 communities with a goal of getting 1000 extra participants in each community immunized against the flu: A Million More! The flu is responsible for over 200,000 hospitalizations annually in the U.S. The Center for Disease Control recommends everyone over 5 months get immunized. Communites united for "A Million More" will create a healthier environment for everyone!
