Ex-Sweetie Reports Sugar in Gas Tank

Plus: bad music, shot-out lights and other calls from Aliso Viejo to the Sheriff's Department, Nov. 9-13.

A woman said her ex-husband called to tell her he poured sugar into her vehicle's gas tank.

The suspicious saccharine report was made at 9:22 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Abbeywood Lane.

Suspicious TV dude. 4:24 p.m. Tuesday. 23400 block Summerfield. A resident said a man wearing a blue-striped polo shirt and dark pants was claiming to be the cable guy.

Writing on the wall. 10:43 a.m. Tuesday. 28000 block Aliso Creek Road. A caller reported graffiti on a nearby fence.

Unhappy camper. 9:05 p.m. Monday. 26800 block La Paz Road. A caller said a man in his 20s was angrily snapping at anyone who talked to him.

Hammer time. 6:03 p.m. Monday. 100 block Woodcrest Lane. A caller reported a woman screaming for someone to put the hammer down.

Lights out. 1:51 p.m. Sunday. Alicia Parkway and Morning Ridge. A citizen reported seeing four street lights that appeared to have been shot out.

Schlock rock. 6:28 p.m. Saturday. 0 block Journey. A caller asked deputies to check for "horrible-sounding" rock music coming from the city library.

Honda derby. 12:19 a.m. Saturday. Wood Canyon Drive and Pacific Park Drive. A citizen said numerous Honda Civics were being raced on Wood Canyon Drive.

Suspicious vehicles. 10:24 p.m. Friday. 0 block Meadowpoint. A caller reported a suspicious truck and van being driven slowly and stopping randomly around the neighborhood.

Car toucher. 8:49 p.m. Friday. 26600 block Aliso Creek Road. A caller asked deputies to check for a 6-foot-tall man wearing a black jacket over a hooded sweatshirt and trying to open multiple car doors.
