Beggar in a Miniskirt, Beetle Break-in

Plus: a hillside gunshot, lousy parking and other calls from Aliso Viejo to the Sheriff's Department, Nov. 23-27.

Highlights from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department blotter:

Bad parking job. 7:33 a.m. Tuesday. 0 block Vista Del Canon. A caller said someone parked a burgundy Honda Civic 4 feet from the curb.

Beetle break-in. 1:08 a.m. Tuesday. 23400 block Summerfield. A caller said a Volkswagen Beetle appeared to have had its window and hood pried open.

Miniskirted beggar. 8:02 p.m. Monday. 23400 block Aliso Creek Road. A caller said a woman in a black sweater and miniskirt was standing outside the business, asking for cigarettes and money, and appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

Shot heard. 5:57 p.m. Monday. 0 block Enterprise. A caller reported a gunshot ringing out from the hillside.

Stiffing a taxi. 4:59 a.m. Sunday. 0 block Bryce Canyon. A cab driver said a female ran inside without paying her fare.

Couple arguing. 1:24 a.m. Sunday. 23400 block Summerfield. A resident asked deputies to check for a female who was arguing with a man.

Cursing males. 10:13 p.m. Saturday. 23400 block Summerfield. A resident said a group of males were yelling obscenities and harassing people as they drove around the complex, adding that they were also seen slapping the sides of parked vehicles.

Suspicious loiterers. 3:33 p.m. Friday. Via Iglesia and Via San Rafael. A caller asked deputies to check for  a group of people loitering on the street, adding that they might be up to no good.

Suspicious dude. 12:01 p.m. Friday. 26800 block Aliso Creek Road. A caller said a 45ish man in a red-and-black-striped shirt and jeans was walking around the parking lot and might be burglarizing vehicles.
