Prowler, Urban Climbers, Dead Birds and Other Crime Calls

Selected calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, May 18-22.

Below are items from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department blotter.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 7:38 a.m. Tuesday. Coastal Oak and Peppertree. A caller asked deputies to check for a male subject with a thin build and blonde hair who was wearing red and gray cycling shorts. The man began setting up cones in front of the caller’s house and then hit their car with his hand.

Disturbance. 2:01 a.m. Tuesday. 0 block Fulmar Lane. A caller said his girlfriend scratched him over frozen pizza.

Disturbance. 6:55 p.m. Monday. 0 block Coventry Lane. A caller complaining of excessively loud neighbors said it sounded as if they were dropping bowling balls.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 3:08 p.m. Monday. 0 block Partridge Lane. A caller said a man who was standing on the street was upset because he didn't have a babysitter lined up that evening.

Disturbance-music or party. 2:28 a.m. Sunday. 0 block Vantis. A caller said a group of teenagers near a party bus were loitering and ringing people's doorbells.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 5:56 p.m. Sunday. 0 block Hollyhock Lane. A resident said a former neighbor who was in the area this morning threw parts of a dead bird onto her porch, citing that it is an ongoing problem with the subject.

Disturbance. 2:39 p.m. Saturday. Enterprise and Aliso Creek Road. A caller told deputies that people were rappelling off of the structure between the theater and Hoag Hospital.

Prowler. 1:08 a.m. Saturday. Autumnglen and Aliso Creek Road. A resident said two people dressed in all black were checking for open car doors and would duck down whenever someone passed by.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 10:03 p.m. Friday. 0 block Baywood. A man in his 50s who was last seen wearing a gray jacket and jeans was observed taking photographs of people's backyards.

Welfare check. 9:06 p.m. Friday. Pacific Park Drive and Aliso Creek Road.  A caller asked deputies to check the welfare of a woman and a child who they saw enter a Jeep SUV that had six cats and piles of trash and debris.
