A trash bin fire that melted the sides of the container to the ground was extinguished by a maintenance man Sunday.
The blaze broke out around 12:30 p.m. behind the City Lights Apartments complex. A maintenance man working at the complex used fire extinguishers to put out the blaze just moments before a fire crew arrived.
The cause of the blaze was unknown.
