Subpar Sandwich Makes Man Antsy

Selected calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, Dec. 30 - Jan. 3.

A restaurant employee near the 23400 block of Aliso Viejo Parkway said an upset customer repeatedly called the business regarding a sandwich that he felt was not made up to par. The employee added that the he was scared the man might show up at the restaurant.

The suspicious person call was made around 6:31 p.m. Monday.

Illegal parked vehicle. 9:09 a.m. Tuesday. 0 block Colonial Way.

Burglary alarm-audible. 3:20 a.m. Tuesday. 26900 block Aliso Creek Road.

Traffic stop. 11:00 a.m. Monday. Aliso Viejo Parkway and Vantis. A 29-year-old man was arrested during a traffic atop and was taken into custody at Orange County Jail. He was released under his own recognizance.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 12:52 p.m. Sunday. El Toro Road and Calle Corta. A caller asked deputies to look for kids throwing things at oncoming traffic after their SUV was hit.

Patrol check. 8:46 a.m. Sunday. Eastwing and Oakleigh. A caller said a green electrical box, that had been knocked down, had exposed wires.

Firework violation. 10:40 p.m. Saturday. 0 block of Promontory Park. A caller asked deputies to check for subjects setting off fireworks at a nearby park.

Disturbance. 10:12 p.m. Saturday. Hollyleaf and Coffeeberry.  A caller said a group of seven kids were running around the area with airsoft guns.

Illegal peddling. 10:03 p.m. Friday. 0 block Northern Pine Loop. A resident said someone going door-to-door was trying to sell them disabled animals.

Citizen assist. 5:49 p.m. Friday. 0 block Sandpiper Lane.  A resident said someone spattered dog feces all over their home's door's and windows.
