UPDATED: Woman's Body Found in Aliso Viejo Apartment
San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies had gone to the home to serve a search warrant.

A woman's body was discovered in an Aliso Viejo apartment by San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies attempting to serve a search warrant, authorities said today.
The discovery was made in the 23400 block of Summerfield around 6 p.m. Monday, said Orange County sheriff's Lt. Jeff Hallock. The two sheriff's departments are working together in the death investigation, Hallock said.

The woman was not immediately identified and Hallock could not immediately say why a warrant was being served.
An autopsy is scheduled for today, according to an Orange County Sheriff's Department statement.

"Based on the preliminary evidence and information located at the scene, investigators have not been able to determine a manner or cause of death," the statement says.
The investigation was centering on a series of high-end, three-story apartments, a news videographer reported from the scene.
