The city operates one park, , and spends $1,821 a year on the baggies.

The citywide cost is a little less than the $27,000 a year spends annually and less than the $45,000 Dana Point spends each year on MuttMitts. Like Aliso Viejo, San Juan Capistrano does not have a dog park. Dana Point does.

By stark contrast, Laguna Beach, which also has a dog park, spends only $5,865 a year on the canine excrement depository bags.
