Martin, DeLeon Returned to AVCA Board

Having won the support of a majority of 33 voting delegates, Jim Martin and Raymond DeLeon will return as directors of the Aliso Viejo Community Association Board.

DeLeon and Martin defeated opponents Michael Cochran and James Dodge, according to a recently AVCA announcement.

Having made quorum, President Bill Conley welcomed the Delegates and called the meeting to order at 6:05 pm, followed by delegate approval of the agenda, and the Minutes of the Annual Meeting of the Delegates dated June 25, 2012 as presented.

The next order of business was to take nominations from the floor, to elect the Inspectors of Election for the purpose of overseeing the electoral process and ballot tabulation. The three (3) appointed inspectors were: Beth Arata, Nancy Conley and Rob Greenstein.

Each candidate that was present was then given two (2) minutes to introduce themselves and make their respective speeches.With thirty-three (33) Delegates present, representing 7,049 lots/homes, balloting was opened and continued until all delegates ballots were cast. 

The Delegates then called for the close of balloting and tabulation began.
