'Bag It: Is Your Life Too Plastic?'

The public is invited to a free screening of Bag It at Soka University.

The university in partnership with Transition Aliso and Surfrider Foundation are presenting the film at 7 p.m. Sunday in Pauling 216.

In theme with Transition Aliso and Surfrider Foundation's efforts to ban the use of plastic bags in the city, Bag It follows one man's journey to eliminate his use of grocery store bags.

The bag monster was spotted in Aliso Viejo a few months ago as part of 's Surf Rider Foundation club.

The club has been collecting signatures in favor of a citywide ban of plastic bags at various "Day Without a Bag" events. As of Mid-January, they had collected 250 signatures.
