Police Still Searching for Suspect in Attempted Abduction Case
No new leads on the attempted abduction of an Aliso Niguel teen, but police officials say authorities are aware and schools are prepared.
The attempted abduction of a teenage girl by a man driving a late-model, white, Dodge van has local authorities on the prowl for a suspect.
"Unfortunately there’s nothing new," said Orange County Sheriff Department spokeperson Jim Amormino, regarding the case. "We have had several people call in about the vehicles that we looked into, but nothing solid."
While authorities are still searching for a suspect, local schools have made sure parents and students are vigilant about any suspicious activity they see.

"Parents (should) advice their kids to have extra caution when walking home or alone or on the streets, especially when a car pulls alongside, to never accept a ride or have minimal contact," said Sheriff Investigator Dan Salceto.
Salceto added that local authorities are aware of who to look for and will stop any that possibly matches the description or composite of the driver.
