Soka Ranked 64th in Top Liberal Arts College List

U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges 2012 rankings include Soka University for the first time.

Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo was recently ranked the 64th top national liberal arts college by U.S. News & World Report.

In 2010 the university was reclassified from a "special focus" institution to a "liberal arts college," making Soka eligible for the magazine's Best Colleges 2012 ranking.

Soka is ranked among the top 10 West Coast liberal arts colleges, based on these results.

  • No. 1 (tie) in most students studying abroad among all colleges and universities.
  • No. 1 in most international students (percentage) among all colleges and universities.
  • No. 2 (tie) in greatest ethnic diversity among national liberal arts colleges.
  • No. 2 in highest proportion of classes under 20 among national liberal arts colleges.
  • No. 20 (tie) for highest graduation rate among national liberal arts colleges.
