It's time to register for the fall season of Aliso Viejo's American Youth Soccer Organization.
Region 889 has 595 players registered for the spring season and had 1,576 registered for the fall 2011 season, according to AYSO Regional Commissioner Darryl Ross. Growth will be seen this season, he said, with the number of regional board members reaching 25 and the number of intermediate and advanced referees doubling.
Ross said he looks forward to, "continuing in [the] role of providing quality youth soccer programs to the residents of Aliso Viejo, continued work toward an independent VIP soccer program, continued dedication to improving player skills through one of our three platforms [primary program, extra play program, club soccer program] and the Foxborough Park improvements generously funded by the City of Aliso Viejo," Ross said adding that AYSO is helping to pay for the park improvements as well.
Fall AYSO, Region 889 registration dates:
- March 17 - ; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- April 21 - ; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- May 15 - ; 5 to 8 p.m.
