AVCA Movie Night is a Muppet Affair

"The Muppets" movie will play at Grand Park Friday at dusk.

The Muppets have gone their separate ways, but Kermit is determined to bring the gang together again to save a familiar place.

On Friday night, from 7:30 to 10:00, The Muppets (2011) movie will be shown at Grand Park, located just above Aliso Viejo Town Center. The film is presented by the Aliso Viejo Community Association (AVCA) as part of its bi-weekly Friday Movie Night this summer.

In the movie, Walter, the world's biggest Muppets fan, is on vacation in Los Angeles while his friends, Gary and Mary, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppet's former stomping grounds.

To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary, and Gary help Kermit the Frog reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways.

Be sure to bring your blankets and low back chairs for the showing of the movie, which is rated G-MF (Great Muppet Fun).
