Spreading Holiday Cheer Through Homework

The Boys & Girls Club of Capistrano Valley welcomed more than 360 children during their annual Operation Holiday Homework incentive program.

More than 360 Boys & Girls Club of Capistrano Valley youth members waited in line to redeem their homework points for Christmas gifts on Saturday.

The annual Operation Holiday Homework program is an incentive based system with an emphasis on academic enrichment.  Children earned points during Power Hour — a tutoring and homework program through the Boys & Girls Club.  Points earned were redeemed on Saturday to "purchase" holiday gifts for family members.

Donated gifts from local businesses and individuals filled a room at Fluor Enterprises located at 3 Polaris Way in Aliso Viejo — the base for Operation Holiday Homework.
